MyTravel to integrate NonStop systems into BEA and \.NET environment using comForte's CSL products

June 19, 2005

MyTravel Northern Europe, the leading Nordic holiday and leisure group, has selected comForte's middleware product CSL to connect BEA WebLogic and Microsoft .NET based application servers to their backend NonStop servers.

At MyTravel, the NonStop servers provide the enterprise tier for their travel reservation system. comForte's CSL product, including a standard-compliant J2EE connector, provides Pathway server connectivity for Enterprise Java Beans running within the BEA Weblogic servers hosted on HP nx2200 Itanium / Windows 2003 servers. Likewise, CSL will enable .NET components to perform Pathway transactions, supporting MyTravel's future initiatives with the Microsoft .NET environment for the web service layer of their booking system.

With CSL, MyTravel can use a single infrastructure to support Pathway connectivity for both J2EE to .NET middle tiers. Other reasons for choosing comForte's products were significant performance and transaction rate advantages compared to other evaluated solutions and comForte's professional and customer oriented support.
