November 1, 2004

Effective on October 1, 2004, comForte has acquired complete ownership of the Client Server Link (CSL) product suite from Skybeam Management, Ltd. (formerly ALTA Software, Inc). CSL, a robust and open middleware product used in production at several large customer sites around the world, enables Microsoft Windows and Java clients as well as J2EE and .NET application servers to access Pathway servers on HP NonStop systems. Working seamlessly with existing RSC or RSC/MP clients, CSL provides a cost-effective replacement for existing Remote Server Call middleware and helps customers build enterprise Web solutions both with .NET and J2EE technologies. "Starting as a distributor of CSL in April, we recognized the great potential of the product," said Michael Rossbach, comForte's CEO. "CSL is a perfect complement to our existing web-enabling and security product line. We are very pleased about the acquisition and will take the product to the future."

comForte also announces the availability of a new release of CSL with built-in SSL support, allowing to secure RSC applications without any code change.
