comForte was founded in 1998 by Dr. Michael Rossbach and Michael Horst. Rossbach, comForte's CEO, has been leading the development of HP NonStop/Tandem solutions for almost 30 years. Rossbach and Horst, comForte's chief architect, developed comForte's pioneering MR-Win6530 product. Building on this legacy of HP NonStop focus and innovation, comForte has broadened its product offerings to provide enterprises with a range of connectivity, Web-enabling, and security solutions.

- Acquisitions. In 2008, the company announced its agreement to acquire Unlimited Software Associates and the security solutions from Baker Street Software and Cross-El Software Solutions.
