Flexible Key Management

  • The OpenSSL shell can run under the Guardian personality so your keys can be generated and stored right on your NonStop system.
  • SafeNet platforms can be used to manage all keys and cryptographic processing in a dedicated hardware appliance.
  • nuBridges key management server can generate all cryptographic keys, which would then be exported onto the NonStop platform as a “key store”. In this deployment scenario, the NonStop system performs all cryptographic processing in software.

To use SecurLib/DataEncryption, the following requirements have to be met:

  • You need to have the full source code of your application
  • The application can be written in TAL, C, C++ or COBOL
  • OSS is not required
  • SecurLib is delivered as a static library to be bound together with your application with a header file
  • As now of, SecurLib supports native compilers only
  • If you use one of the external cryptographic engines, you have to obtain additional components from that vendor
