Deploy encryption in HP NonStop environments — and across the enterprise — with unparalleled flexibility, security, and convenience.
In the past few years, database encryption has become a critical component of an organization’s security practices. But encryption in HP NonStop environments can present an array of challenges.
SecurLib/DataEncryption from comForte offers a solution for overcoming the challenges of implementing database encryption in HP NonStop environments. SecurLib/DataEncryption...
- Simplifies encryption deployment — enabling administrators to implement complex cryptographic operations with a single API call.
- Addresses a range of encryption requirements — featuring support for SHA (for hashing), 3DES and AES (for symmetric encryption), RSA (for asymmetric encryption).
- Enables centralized multi-platform encryption administration — through its integration with OpenSSL, SafeNet, and nuBridges.
With SecurLib/DataEncryption, organizations can implement encryption in HP NonStop platforms with unrivaled convenience — while ensuring there are no compromises in availability or performance. Featuring support for various cryptographic engines and deployment architectures, SecurLib/DataEncryption enables enterprise - wide encryption coverage — in a deployment model tailored to an organization’s specific security objectives and infrastructure.
Flexible Key Management
SecurLib/DataEncryption offers a range of alternatives for managing cryptographic keys:
- The OpenSSL shell can run under the Guardian personality so your keys can be generated and stored right on your NonStop system.
- SafeNet platforms can be used to manage all keys and cryptographic processing in a dedicated hardware appliance.
- nuBridges key management server can generate all cryptographic keys, which would then be exported onto the NonStop platform as a “key store”. In this deployment scenario, the NonStop system performs all cryptographic processing in software.
| Features |
Benefits |
| Simple implementation of complex cryptographic operations |
SecurLib/DataEncryption provides a simple API allowing you to implement algorithms such as RSA or 3DES with just a few lines of code. |
| (Optional) Transparent support of different cryptographic engines |
Support of
|
| Delivered with openssl command line tools for Guardian |
The popular openssl command line tools are delivered with SecurLib/DataEncryption, allowing you to execute cryptographic operations directly from TACL. |
SecurLib/DataEncryption Requirements
To use SecurLib/DataEncryption, the following requirements have to be met:
- You need to have the full source code of your application
- The application can be written in TAL, C, C++ or COBOL
- OSS is not required
- SecurLib is delivered as a static library to be bound together with your application with a header file
- As now of, SecurLib supports native compilers only
- If you use one of the external cryptographic engines, you have to obtain additional components from that vendor
